Fleet Command cap is timeless and permanent and is infinitely more valuable than Naval Cap. I've got the same thing with Technological Ascendancy and I've had the same thing with Imperial Perogative. Once you start building Fortresses the effect of Galactic Force Projection disappears and you'll be wishing you took something else. This is only ever been a problem if you're either playing as a murder Gestalt or if you're next to one. Yes, in a dire situation it might save your life in a VERY short term situation IF you don't have an economy that can Naval cap over. There are so many sources of naval capacity that the long term effect of GFP is pretty much useless. Now I'm building another energy ringworld which means I should have just done that in the first place, that's a wasted spot for a Research Rngworld I'd have to experience the pop changes to really understand them but currently the boons from a DS are short term They are good short term of course, they are MUCH quicker and easier to set up by several decades, but like with GFP, its value runs out. ![]() If we had this change, that would add 560 to my used Nav cap, if we had +2 Titan slots instead of +20 Naval cap then that would be another fleet worth 300. The most valuable Ascension perks give great benefits the entire game. Late game if I could choose between 10 extra battleships in each of my 7 fleets and 10 battleships in the next fleet (when I already have the Nav cap to support more than 3 extra fleets but I don't have any more Titan slots) I wouldn't pick the perk. Anyway, early game I struggle to build the few ships my Nav cap can hold so the extra 4 fleets won't really help me. ![]() At first it was producing more than my Ring World, but then I built loads of Science Ring Worlds and eventually I got so much tech that, well I've already told you the problemĬlick to expand. There are so many sources of naval capacity that the long term effect of GFP is pretty much useless. Any suggestions? I think the real problem is that a Ring World is infinitely increasing whearas a Dyson Sphere is static. ![]() That might be a little OP but even then, I still think that it would be better to just have another Ring World. I think Dyson Spheres should give a 10% boost to your pops' energy output per stage, so a full energy output combined with the +20% energy edict would lead to +50% pop output. They are much better than in 2.2 of course with only 1K and in 1.7 where they only produced 400 but damn. Now I'm wishing I'd just built another Ring World. Right now my Ring World is producing nearly 10K energy per month with the Dyson Sphere only producing 5K. The problem is that even though they're quite good now, they're still not as good as a Ring World with an Energy focus. In terms of Dyson Spheres I'm not really sure what change would be good enough but I'll throw some stuff out and see what the response is. Maybe instead of the 20 Naval capacity we get an addition 2 Titan slots? If I could fit an extra 10 battleships in each of my fleets I might actually be able to keep up with my Naval capacity without running over my Titan capacity. Fleet capacity is monumentally more useful than Naval capacity, partly because Fleet capacity is limited and Naval capacity is infinitely increasing. ![]() There's not really much to say here but that 80 Naval capacity is absolutely useless and that 20 fleet capacity is very minimal.
